OK, submitted for your approval = one 1973 Black, Ash body stratocaster - considered one of the last good Stratocasters from the Post-Hendrix era - Ash bodies sing! This thing Looks, Feels, and Sounds Amazing! Brand new frets by one of the Best Luthier's, (that means no-use, Brand spanking new!) Electronics date correctly to 1973 - both visible date-coded, original pots read 250K Audio 035865 - 137 7304 (see photo!) - meaning the 4th week of 1973. That's January 1973 - this is practically a 1972 Strat from that reference! And it sounds like it : Staggered grey-bottomed pickups, correct eggplant-colored formivar wire, date coded to 1973 are not original to the guitar, though they sound HEAVENLY! Clear bell-like tones from this Ash-bodied tone-monster. The guitar has been Pro re-finished in what the Custom Shop calls "thin-skin Nitro Cellulose Lacquer" to Vintage specs - that means this was painted with care and using similar methods that Fender did in the early days to get that special tone that only Vintage Strats can get = why not have the original - old woods, vibe and tone, and FEELING for days,(including REAL Lacquer paint!) for less than you can buy a New Fender Reliced guitar made to LOOK LIKE ONE OF THESE! Has now been returned to have correct Fender F tuners and white-parchment pickguard (in case photos show otherwise). Neck plate reads: 5551xx dating correctly to this era -and the neck heel is photographed several times showing nice original VINTAGE wood from almost 40 years ago with correct date code on heel. Saddles also have correct date code. This guitar is from a Pro's collection with real-world online credits to verify - some of the top names in the Recording Industry (just email if you like about this - we have to protect confidentiality!) I've photographed the neck from several different angles - this is a nice guitar, and good investment in today's economy and can only go up in value!
