THIS IS CONSIDERED A DIAMOND DEALER EDITION BECAUSE IT DOES FEATURE THE DIAMOND EMBEDDED IN THE HEADSTOCK AND WERE ONLY MADE AVAILABLE TO H-D DEALERSHIP OWNERS. THIS GUITAR HAS SAT ON DISPLAY IN THE OWNER'S OFFICE FOR MANY YEARS, RARELY HANDLED AND I DO NOT BELIEVE IT HAS EVER BEEN PLAYED (What a shame!!) "The Harley-Davidson 90th Anniversary Commemorative Stratocaster, produced in 1993, one of only 109 built. Designed by John Page, J.W. Black and Pamelina Hovnatanian, built by Scott Buehl and Jason Davis. Produced to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Hand-engraved Harley-Davidson celebratory art on a custom-made aluminium body and pick guard. Selectively plated in chrome and gold. Figured maple neck, ebony fret board with stainless steel fret markers & engraved 90th Anniversary Edition plate at 12th fret. It comes with an SKB case & usual goodies, a fringed gig bag, fringe and concho-encrusted "Harley-Davidson" strap and a Certificate of Authenticity."
"Of the 109 built, only the first 60 sport the embedded diamond inside the Custom Shop 'V' logo in the headstock and were sold to select "Diamond" dealers. Of the remaining 49 units (which do not have the Diamond emblem), 40 were produced for export and 9 were delivered to Harley-Davidson. Not only high sought after by Harley enthusiasts, the H-D 90th Anniversary Strat is featured on the cover of the 'Fender Custom Shop' book and it is considered to one of the 3 most desired and valuable custom strats made by Fender (called the Custom Shop Trinity, it is included with the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Pop Strat & the 40th Anniversary Playboy Strat).
