Description
Up for sale is a beautiful Mexican Classic 50's Stratocaster in Daphne Blue. This particular guitar has had some bigger frets put in it to facilitate bending. The frets are called Wide/High's and were purchased from Stewart Macdonald. Here is the specific dimensions:
Width is .100"
Crown is .050"
Tang is .060"
The frets definitely do make bending easier on this vintage neck. Due to the new fret job my technician also installed a brand new nut. Looks and performs great with no buzzing in the nut slots. I also installed some Dimarzio vertical humbuckers. An Area 67 in the neck and middle positions and an Virtual Vintage 54 Pro in the bridge. Great tones and very quiet. But you will still get the original pickups as well. Finally, the guitar comes with a tweed Musician's Gear case that looks quite handsome with a beautiful burgundy interior. Serial number is MZ9462555.
