I have a 1981 Fender Stratocaster for sale. It is in overall great condition except for a cosmetic flaw of the original sunburst finish on the front of the body. There is a new nut on the neck and the original frets have been dressed. I bought this guitar back in the mid 90'S because I liked the feel of the neck. It is just a tad thinner and it reminded me of the Jan. '82 Gold/Gold Strat I played from '82 to '90. After saying all that, I never played the guitar. So, the frets have no wear since my fret dress. I will address any other minor finish flaws next to the appropriate photos below (some with little green arrows pointing to them).
There are five round spots where the finish is down to the wood. This was there when I purchased it back in the 90'S.
That is the outline of an Alembic Stratoblaster, a rectangular jackplate, that I removed and replaced with a Fender Strat jackplate.
There is belt buckle wear between the two green lines on the back of the body. A 3 ply plastic cover for the back is included.
