1954 Fender Stratocaster Cunetto Relic. Built by John Cruz April '97, serial# R2254. Ash Body, maple neck and maple fretboard. Gold hardware. The guitar weighs 6 lbs. 12.4 oz.......this is with all 5 tremolo springs, plastic spring cover & screws. With 3 tremolo springs & no cover it weighs only 6 lbs. 10.9 oz. The neck shape is a perfect soft V at the first couple of frets, then slowly becomes a comfortable C shape as you go up the fretboard. 9 1/2 radius. Nut width is 1 5/8. The frets are vintage in size and have very small divets on the first 4-5........it will be a long time before they need any attention. One of the neck plate screw holes was stripped at some point but was professionally repaired (this was before I bought it). Also, one end of the neck plate is slightly compressed into the wood, but the screw and plate are tight and do not affect the functionality or playability at all! Comes with the original tweed case, case keys, ash tray cover, tremolo arm, and COA signed by Custom Shop Manager John Page.
In spite of the two minor issues mentioned above, this is a fine example of a John Cruz built Cunetto Relic!
