1991 Fender American Vintage '62 Reissue Stratocaster
With Original Hardshell Tweed Case

This is a very cool 1991 Fender American Vintage '62 Reissue Stratocaster in Ocean Turquoise Metallic. I got this guitar in a trade about 6 months ago and have really enjoyed having it in my collection. I've used it on a couple recording projects and have taken it to a couple of blues jams. I have always been very happy with how it sounds AND plays. Plus it's got mojo for days! It's definetly been played a bunch over the past 19+ years and shows the signs of plenty of gigs, etc. After playing it you'll see why; it sounds and feels amazing. I'm going to miss it but need funds for my next purchase.

I'll do my best to describe the condition but I encourage you to look at ALL of the pictures before bidding. And ask any questions you may have. Here we go...

-The finish on the back of the neck near the fingerboard is wearing through but the neck is in great playing shape.  No dents, dings, etc.

-The wear is typical on nitro finished necks from years of having hands rubbing the area while playing.

-There are dings and scuffs all over the body.

-As you'll see in the pictures there is some finish cracking in the form of long cracks. If you know nitro, you know all about this and it is caused by changes in temperature causing the nitro finish to expand and then contract, causing the finish cracking.

-Also, at some point somebody over tightened the neckplate screws and there is finish cracking near the corners of the neck plate. There was no need for this as the neck is very solid and doesn't move around at all.

-The second tone pot was changed as well at some point, but the rest of the electronics all have correct date codes for a 1991.

-The 3-way swith was changed to a 5-way a long time ago as well.

-These are the only changes that has been made to the guitar that I can tell.

-Stamps in the neck pocket show 1991 as does the neck date. SN: V056484.

-Frets were dressed about 4 months ago at World of Strings in Long Beach, CA and play great with no fret out and nice low action.

-Saddles show plenty of rust and tarnish but all the screws turn.

-The truss rod works correctly and it was setup with 11's when the fret work was done.

-Tuners are tarnished but hold in tune fine.

I am not the original owner of this guitar and have done my best to describe all the parts in word and picture so you can have all the info you need to bid.

No dings or other issues with the neck or fingerboard.  This guitar has been played but not abused.

The original hardshell tweed case is in good shape but does show some exterior scuffs and scraps, but no tears anywhere.
