Fender Strat

I bought this in January '06 from a friend in Denton, TX, who had purchased it from Dion Pride, (son of country singer Charley
Pride).  He bought it new in '79 and played it for about 10 years. It’s a
nice little piece. That being said, it
really has some character.

I buffed through the layer of nicotine on the body, got it set up for
11ga strings, had the frets filed, tuned up the hardware, and had the
pick-ups/wiring checked out and cleaned.

 It
has the original 3-bolt neck plate on it, although there are two filled holes
on that part of the body which indicate that a 4-bolt plate had been put on it at
some point.

 This
thing has an AWESOME sound! I don't know if it's this way on all '70's Strats,
but this one of the fattest sounding Strats I have ever played. The frets may
be a little low for some folks, but for sure, it’s perfect for rhythm.  It really plays great! 

 I
have the original case, and the original treble arm.  I think you’ll be very pleased.
