This guitar is really unique, and assembled from all original components from Fender USA, Bare Knuckle Pickups and Sharp Concepts,.

The guitar
is in excellent as new condition. Please see for yourself from the
detailed pictures.

The
neck is super straight and frets are perfectly level with no fretwear
and has a fast modern C-profile, with beautiful pearl dot inlays. The
neck has a LSR rolling nut, to assist in smooth tremolo swells and
dives, and is identical to the premium necks on the American Deluxe
series guitars with bridge humbucker, except for the addition of a black
headstock.  Action is set medium to low, with no buzzing and the guitar
plays really smoothly.

The Bare Knuckle VHII pickups have a very nice aggresiveness to them, working great for classic rock and hanging in with good definition at higher gain settings.The pickups respond really well to the volume control, cleaning up nicely when backing off, and biting and kicking dirt when turning up and driving the amp. Very nice indeed through a Marshall.

The body is solid mahogany, which adds some thickness and density to the guitar's basic sound, whilst still ringing nicely on the higher frequencies. With the 10 different sounds from the S-1 switch (see below) there are many options. Clean, and driven clean / mild crunch tones are very very interesting and inspiring.

The neck and body are from a 2007 Fender Special Run (FSR) Mahogany Stratocaster; basically a Fender Deluxe Stratocaster with a solid mahogany body which came in humbucker single single (HSS) configuration. A few years ago, Fender also had a dual humbucker (HH) strat in their American series. This provided the electronics and S-1 switch.

I hooked up a calibrated set of Bare Knuckle VHII humbuckers, with coil-tap for a splendour of both single-coil and full humbucker sounds in series or parallel. For those of you who don't know Bare Knuckle pickups are handmade and handwound in Devon (UK) and are genuinely lively! 3D is often used as an adjective, and a very fitting one. Simply the best.

The S-1 switch affords for 10 different pick-up combinations:
Stealth switch up (off) -
1) Neck Humbucker - coils in series
2) Neck Humbucker + Inside Coil of Bridge pick-up - inside coils in parallel and in series with outside coil
3) Both Full Humbuckers - in series
4) Neck Inside Coil + Full Bridge Humbucker - inside coils in parallel and in series with outside coil
5) Bridge Humbucker - coils in series

Stealth switch down (on) -
1) Neck Humbucker - coils in parallel
2) Single Coil Neck (outside coil)
3) Neck Single Coil + Bridge Single Coil (outside coils, Tele-style)
4) Bridge Single coil (outside coil)
5) Bridge Humbucker - coils in parallel

The guitar has only had light in-house play since assembly last December, and has been kept in a Fender vintage-style G&G case, as shown and included in the auction.
