Fender Strat

Here is a Fender Homer Haynes Limited Edition Gold Stratocaster that is number 381 of 500 made during the model run in 1988-1989. These H.L.E. Strats are recreations of the '57 Strat with a "soft V" neck, a 7.5 radius and 21 frets. What stands out is that this example has been naturally "relic'd" with years of actual use and wear. You can see on Pic # 3 the Green Patina that is beginning to develop where your arm rests on the lower bass side of the body. Nice to see what actual use can do and what a real relic can look like.

I purchased this guitar almost 8 years ago just because of the natural relic appearance...just wanted to see how it compares. When I got it the neck was Chewed Up. So I took it to local Fret Doctor and Guitar Guru Rich Beck in Phoenix, AZ to have it refretted and set-up. You can read about Rich here:

Rich did his usual excellent work, refretting the neck with Dunlap 6155's and applying a light nitro overspray to dress up the appearance. I have played it maybe 3 time since then for a max of 1 hour so you are getting fresh, perfectly crowned frets with no buzzing woes. I am selling it because I am trying to reduce my household to a few Strats that I can devote my playing time to.
