Fender Strat

Jimmie Vaughan Stratocaster

Up for auction is a 1996 Fender Signature Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster in 2-tone Sunburst. Lightly used, but not abused and in excellent condition – especially since it’s now 14 years old (time flies, doesn’t it?).

Just had a recent full set-up done, including fret crown and polish. Set-up with 10’s, she has low action and plays ultra smooth.

In my opinion, it has the best features that Fender can put into a Strat:

-      Tex-Mex pickups

-      Special V shaped neck

-      Vintage machine heads

-      Alder body

-      Medium-Jumbo frets

These sell for $799.99 brand new, but this is a NO RESERVE auction – highest bidder gets it. The newer models don’t seem to have the true vintage tint neck - most of the newer necks are much lighter in color.

There is some natural wear (see photos) at the bottom of the fretboard and on edge of headstock. This whole guitar just screams vintage mojo vibe from the cool aesthetics and the huge awesome tone from the aged body.

 Maybe the start of a relic model? This has a great worn in feel that comes from actual playing, not being attacked by an electric sander.

I am not a professional photographer, but try and capture from different angles and light conditions to show everything (especially if there is a slight blemish or something). Shipping and handling charges cover all costs of packaging materials, postage, and E-Bay and Paypal fees. IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH LISTED SHIPPING COST OR QUOTE – DON’T BID. Don’t blast me in feedback, either. I’m up in the corner of the country and usually get killed with shipping costs.

All shipping charges are based on the lower 48 United States. I’ve got nothing against Alaska and Hawaii, just contact me for a shipping quote prior to bidding.

I don’t like international shipping. Customs is painful and I’m tired of the interrogation techniques employed by postal workers. If you want me to ship internationally – you better be ready to grease the wheels.
