You are bidding on the all original NECK, TUNERS & ROUND STRING RETAINER from a Fender Custom Shop 50th Anniversary Commemorative MasterBuilt 1954 Strat.
The neck is nitro-cellulose lacquered Quartersawn one-piece 'U' shaped Maple with a hint of flame. Vintage 7.25 Radius. Approximately .89" at the first fret and .97" at the 12th fret. This neck, tuners and string retainer were given a 'Closet Classic' finish from the factory. The tuners are 'no name' Kluson Deluxe and are original to this neck.
The frets have been dressed and there are no wear marks. Plenty of life in them. Vintage style frets that would have appeared on a Strat built in 1954. Bone Nut. Master Builder Mark Kendrick signature on the butt end of the neck and Mark Kendrick Custom Shop logo on the headstock.
There is a small wear mark through the lacquer (half the size of a pinky nail) at the first fret (see pics) and a dark spot in the lacquer by the low E tuner (where you would rest your thumb) near the headstock and at the 21st fret. Also some lacquer settling near some of the fret ends.
These parts were produced for the Commemorative 50th Anniversary Masterbuilt '54 Stratocaster using the same exact formulas and materials.
