2001 Fender American Stratocaster
This is a 2001 Fender American Stratocaster in Graffiti Yellow finish. The guitar is in very good condition with no buckle rash or dings through the finish. There is one small ding in the finish on the front of the body near the waist (doesn't show up in photos), and one ding on the edge of the fingerboard, 10th fret, right side (see photo) which does not affect playability. The yellow finish is worn slightly on the back at the edge of the body contour. There is one minor finish discoloration where the strap touches the back edge of the body (see photo of strap-button area). Frets are decent but it is a player's guitar so there is some fret wear in the first few positions. All case candy and original hang tags are included as well as the whammy bar, strap, and straplocks. It has a smooth neck and low action. The case is the original Fender hardshell case. The pickups were upgraded to Fender Hot Noiseless pickups which are free of single-coil hum and provide a bit more output. It is currently setup with .010s.
Any slightly darker areas on the photo of the guitar back is a shadow. There is no finish discoloration other than described above.
The guitar is unique in that it was awarded as a prize in the South Dakota State Lottery (see back plate) and is #6 of 115 made for the lottery. I purchased the guitar from the lottery winner who is an acquaintance. She won the guitar but since no one in the family plays, she knew I was a guitar player and contacted me. I didn't have a Strat at the time so I purchased it from her complete including the original Fender carton.
It is a great-playing guitar. I am selling it to raise some cash, and the Graffiti Yellow finish is a bit flashy for my current playing venues.
The Strat will ship in it's original Fender carton.
