1986 Squier by Fender Strat, made in Japan, serial number E617361, with guitar case. I believe the model was part of the “Contemporary” line, which featured a black headstock. It features single-single-humbucker (S-S-H, neck to bridge) pick-up combination, 1 volume and 1 tone control, maple bolt-on neck with rosewood fretboard, tremolo bar and a unique for Fender pick-up switching system. There are three separate toggles, one for each pick-up, which allows for many variations. The humbucker toggle is 3-position switch, allowing the bridge pickup to be in humbucker mode, off, or single-coil mode. You can have all three pickups on at the same time, or any variation in between. The lack of a pickguard also gives this a different look from other Fender/Squier Strats. All of the parts are original. I am the original owner of the guitar, and it has a few very small chips in the paint, but is otherwise in great condition for 24-year old guitar.
