Fender Strat

Fender HARDTAIL Stratocaster. American Strat from about 1997/98? (Serial number in photos). This is the ever-sought-after natural finish. I added the Rock Shop electronics including the Gold Lace Pups with push/pull phasing, and a tortise pickguard that still has the plastic on it. Guitar is in fantastic shape. I cannot find a ding to write about...  Original HS case. Sorry I don't have the original electronics, but they were nothing to write home about anyway.  Note: a hardtail strat sounds like no other guitar... listen for the difference if your luck enough to win this. Robert Cray would be jealous !


If you take away the signature models (Cray and the Corgan), folks argue that hardtail strats are somewhere between 5 and 10% of the production of all stratocasters. If anyone knows more or has details, please drop me a note so I can finish my research !  In the mean time, think about how many hardtail strats you've run across in person ?!?!  Maybe I should be asking more $. Think about adding this rare bird to your collection !!!
