Fender Stratocaster guitar, 1984 made in U.S.A., serial number E 423 139. Very good condition -- all original. Beautiful red finish with maple fingerboard. Studio use
by professional musician only. Great frets. Two small blemishes (almost
unnoticeable) -- see photos. Comes with original tremelo arm and hard shell tweed case. Will ship via FedEx Ground or Residential Delivery. Shipping cost will depend on distance, and will range from about $20.00 to $35.00.
To address some of the FAQs, I took the guitar to a highly regarded stringed instrument repair shop. They removed the pickguard, and I photographed its electronics (see 3 new photos). They said it was a Standard 1984 American Stratocaster, made in Anaheim or Fullerton CA. The publication "The Official Guitar Magazine Price Guide 2011" by Greenwood and Hembree shows it on p. 71.
On Oct-29-10 at 09:24:05 PDT, seller added the following information: At the shop it was determined that the three pickups are identical, serial number 016730. Also please note that the shipping charge will be based on actual cost. (eBay came up with that $19.10 number automatically, and I couldn't get rid of it!)
