Fender Strat

Up for auction is this (2000?) Fender USA Strat plus in the beautiful, rare, and discontinued white blonde ash body/ maple neck configuration. It features the vintage noiseless single coil p'ups, chrome hardware, 2 point pivot trem bridge(with bar), white pearloid pickguard, Schaller security lock strap buttons and factory hardshell case. This instrument is completely original factory stock except for the pearloid tuner buttons, and is in like new, near mint condition. The action and string guage is currently low and light. There are no scratches, dings, rashes, tarnish, discoloration, fret wear, or any other visual defects to speak of.  Even the case is in beautiful condition!     It plays and sounds, well, like any high end Strat... Great!!!  The ash body does have a distinctive extra "twang" to it, which really makes it exceptional.  The finish is quite cool, although the grain factor is not as visible as some I've seen.  None the less, it is a killer piece that is not your everyday dime a dozen Strat.  I bought this one in 2002, just as this finish was being phased out, and I always wanted one.  The collector in me loves her, but the player in me is just not a Fender guy.  It has gotten to the point where having a closet full of guitars that I don't play has lost any appeal, so I'm letting go of this one to a Strat fan that will use it to it's full potential.
