Fender Strat

Fender Hardtail Stratocaster HSS - 2002 Tom Delonge signature model, but I scrapped the pickguard, pickup, etc. I purchased it because I wanted a Lone Star/Eric Clapton style hardtail with quality parts, so I added those parts making a Super Strat with the parts I wanted. I did not care for the inflexibiltiy of the one pickup, one knob... and honestly I couldn't name a song by him. I am primarily a bassist, so guitars go first.

This is the discontinued Fender MIM model, NOT the Squier. Neck and body are OEM Fender. All parts are after market and were purchased BRAND NEW! I do not have any of the original Tom Delonge parts. I purchase it without them, and added the superior parts you see here. It is being sold as it is shown. I am including the original chrome saddles. I do not have the original tuners, but they were the same style, just not Gotoh and non-locking.

Body – Black, some surface scratching and slight buckle rash on back. Front body is near mint. Tortoise pickguard, parchment knobs, both of which are new.

Neck, Solid maple, rosewood fretboard, large CBS headstock. A couple of dings on top of headstock. 

Gotoh Locking Vintage tuning machines. Kluson style. ($60)

Graphtech Supercharger Kit with  nut, headstock string guides, string saver saddles in string through Fender bridge.  ($65)

Fender USA electronics from a Fender USA Highway One Stratocaster, Greasebucket tone circuit (rolls off treble without adding bass), Traditional Volume/Tone/Tone & 5 way switch. Currently set up in Auto split meaning that in position 4, middle and coil split Bridge, similar to SSS.

Position 1 - Neck

Position 4 - Middle and one coil of humbucker

Position 5 - Humbucker

Pickups: recommended per Seymour Duncan. The singles are less than a month old and have all the lead. I still have the receipts and boxes for them.  The humbucker was purchase about a year ago and I still have that box too. Will ship with guitar. Almost $250 in electronics.

Middle/Neck – Seymour Duncan Vintage Staggered SSL1 $65/each
Our most popular single-coil for Strat. The hand-ground Alnico 5 magnetsand moderate windings (Heavy Formvar wire) yield a bright and punchy tone with vintage output. Perfect for players who need accurate traditional single-coil tone, especially with clean and mildly distortede amp settings. Compared to the APS-1, the SSL-1 has a more focused "bell" tone with a light bass response. Comes with waxed cloth hookup cable and vintage-style "keyed" bottom plate.

Schaller Strap lock equipped strap buttons.
