Fender Strat

Limited Edition 50th Anniversary 1959 Fender Stratocaster. This fine axe is # 42 of 59 made. I am the original owner of this sweet guitar. I have all of the case candy. It has been kept in a humidity controlled, non-smoking environment when not played out. I only gigged 2 times with this guitar, both non-smoking venues. It has very light wear as I did play it from day one. It does have one minor flaw that does not affect anything other than aesthetic. It is on the back just below the tremolo cover. The Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups that came with the guitar were so noisy that I had them changed out for the Jeff Beck Hot Noiseless from Fender and man, what a difference. I still have the sweet tones but, no noise, they're great. I am including the original pickups along with some tremolo tension springs that I ordered, it only came with one. The flaw came from a grounding screw that went thru the body, can be seen in a picture and was filled in  with wood putty. Like I said, it is only an aesthetic flaw. Other than that, this guitar is perfect. Sounds magnificent. It was advertised as having a nitro-cellulose finish but, Fender had problems maintaining the color and changed it to a standard laquer finish. Below is from the Guitar Center add when this was first introduced in October of 2009. I took possession of this guitar on 11/24/09.  I have more pix upon request. You won't be disappointed in this truly one-of-a-kind gem. Priced reduced.
