Fender Strat

On sale is an old Fender strat guitar without any reserve price.

First of all I am sorry 'coz I know zilch about Fender guitars and their history. I play guitar but only modern ones with Floyd Rose tremolos; I mean super-strats like Ibanez. Old Fender strats mean nothing to me (no offense). I am not sure about the year of production of it but as you can see it is very old; probably more than 30 years old. Someone told me this would be a valuable guitar so I bought it some time ago and now I am selling it. It has to go now since I really don't have enough space to put this anymore. Please note that I offer no returns since I will not play this guitar and it is useless for me so if you are not sure how to repair it, PLEASE DO NOT BID.

The guitar is in pretty bad shape, harshly used and abused, as you see in the pics.

* More than half of the finish is gone. Body is full of scratches, bruises, dinks, etc. But grains look good so I think wood is very high quality.
* Logo is almost completely worn off. You can see the raised edges.
* The hardware is mostly tarnished and oxidized, although bridge and tuners work well without any problems and guitar stays in tune for days. Despite the looks, I must say this is a very stable guitar.
* This goes same for the knobs, they work good too. Pickups work well, sound is good, no background hum or anything like that. Nice sounding guitar.
* The neck has a small crack by the joint; probably easily repairable by someone who knows what he does. Neck doesn't move while playing and it is stable. Fortunately enough, it is very playable and 21 frets have about 70-75% life left on them.
* Pickguard has a big crack by the joint. Somebody really messed it up, the hole looks wider than it suppose to be and you can actually see the neck's metal rod inside the cavity.
* The plate on the back is 90% oxidized.
* There are also some stickers on both sides of the body but I did not touch'em. I purchased the guitar like this and I am selling it as is.
* Guitar comes with a non-Fender black hardcase (which has a cracked corner; but it keeps the guitar safe). Case has keys.

I receive a lot of emails about the guitar. I mean "a lot". Folks, I simply do not have time to answer them all. Most of you are asking me to remove the neck, this is something I cannot do, sorry. This is a very old guitar and I do not want to touch it.

I cancelled some of the bids, especially new members and some rude ones which are offensive because I did not answer their emails properly or whatever the reason is. I am not sure what their problem is but it is kinda nasty and disappointing for me as a seller. As I wrote in the description DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SURE HOW TO REPAIR IT..
