Fender Strat

You are looking at an awesome 1997 American Fender Stratocaster.  It is the Texas Lonestar edition.  These were awesome Fenders, and it is a real shame they don't make these anymore.  I own 4 more of these and have to thin out the heard.  They are so versatile. You can get dirty rock to even metal sounds, with the Seymour Duncan Peraly Gates....Then SRV and Hendrix tones with the Fender Texas special wound single coil pickups.  WoW!!  This pick up set is just perfect in a Startocaster in my opinion.  It has a maple neck which is straight with no issues.  The tuners are all in working order.  All of the volume and tone pots are crackle free and smooth as silk.  The pickup selector is still perfect as well.  The bridge is rust free and just set up to medium low action.  The imput jack is tight and has a good connection.  I took off the pickguard to make sure the single coils were original, and as far as I can tell this this is 100% stock.  No re-soldiers or any funky stuff.  Now for the over all condition...this is a 13 year old guitar nearly 14  years old.  It has been played.  There are various dents in the body, back of the neck, and headstock.  None through the gold paint to the wood!!!  No neck pocket cracks somehow. The tip of the headstock has really been banged around a bit.  There is neck wear from being played where the side of the fretboard meets the curve leading to the back of the neck.  There are some pick marks from being strummed and even the single coil pickup covers are slightly worn from being strummed on.  The fret wire themselves have no divots, i guess the original owner didn't play many open chords?  I dont know.  I am trying to be as honest and as clear as possible with my description.  Over all I would say for a 13 1/2 year old guitar I would rate it as about a 7.5 out of 10 on physical apperance, and a 9.5 out of 10 on playability and everything else.  She has aged amazingly, the pickguard is slightly yellowing as well as all of the knob covers and the p/u selector switch.  Even the neck wood looks darker and richer than what they put out new today and what it was when I got it.  This is like the "relic or road worn" current production guitars on steroids They try to charge an arm and a leg for those guitars that aren't even USA made.  Fender also has a Mexican made version of this for nearly $600 without a case.  They can't compare to this American made beauty.  It comes with a Fender hardshell case.  Feel free to ask any questions.  I hate to see her go.
