Fender Strat

Up for auction is my Fender Standard Made In USA Stratocaster w. TSA flight case.

It features an ash body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard and is finished in Fender's highly desirable Sienna Sunburst. This guitar was originally finished in a heavy polyurethane from the factory which was stripped and professionally refinished in high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer like the vintage models. The original sunburst finish was not altered and the lacquer finish is flawless. There is a marked difference in sound and feel with lacquer finish which allows the wood to breathe and resonate.

The finish and wood grain on this guitar are exceptionally nice. I replaced the pickguard with an aged pearl one that has the double cutouts for the humbucker bridge pickup and looks much nicer than the "square-hole" original. I'll throw in the original (pictured) if you prefer it to the mother of pearl look. The guitar has that high-end Fender feel and tone including 5-way switching that coil-taps the humbucker bridge pickup to retain that classic Strat "Quack" but allows full humbucker drive on the bridge-only setting.

The guitar is in flawless condition with no wear of any kind besides the aged-look pickguard.
