This auction is for a '57 REISSUE FENDER USA STRATOCASTER in very nice condition. It's a rare color....."Ocean Turquoise", and will make a very nice addition to your collection of Stratocasters. I have a bunch of the '57 reissues, and this one always stood out among them. You just don't see this custom color very often. A few other things stand out about this one. The neck has some pretty nice flame to it which is hard to photograph, but see the pic.....and the neck has a nice "V" shape to it that I don't have on my other reissues. On top of all that it also happens to be a great player, and it sounds TREMENDOUS! They really got the reissue pickups right with the beveled ends. Just the right amount of breakup, and never too hot! Since I mainly play scalloped boards now, I've decided to let a few reissues go. Just can't see scalloping a guitar like this, and have too many "case queens" as it is.
Other than that, standard USA reissue stuff here.....Nitro finish, Maple fingerboard with skunk stripe and black dots (Some great flame and V shape), vintage style tremolo with steel block, stellar sounding vintage pickups, single ply pickguard, volume/tone/tone with 5-way switch.Great condition too! Some mild haze on the pickguard from regular play, and one scratch on back that does not go through the paint. Also, a small chip near the neck plate. 8lbs even on my scale. A modern day classic!
