I bought this Fender 40th anniversary stratocaster new. I have had it professionally set up and with the Maple Neck it has a lighting quick action. The body is sunburst, and it looks fantastic. This guitar is all original, including the whammy bar. It was made in Mexico by Fender (Mexicali strat) which is one of the reasons the finish looks so great, they did great work. You can see the grain in the honey colored part of the body, it is beautiful. The neck features the 40th anniversary emblem on the head stock. The body looks and feels like ash to me, but I am not certain. As you can see the guitar is very clean, please note there is some wear on the fret board near the nut and a small chip and scuffs on the edge. I tried to show the worst one on the last picture as best as I could. Remember, this is not a new guitar, it has been played but has been well cared for.
The guitar comes with the hard case pictured which is very sturdy and will protect your guitar, it will also provide enough storage room for your stuff.
