Funny thing: just buying a guitar doesn't magically give you the ability to play it well -- even after more than 25 years. Apparently, you have to practice. Like, a lot. Anyway, I bought this guitar new in 1985 at Rhythm City in Atlanta. I have never played it very much, and I have decided to let it go. <Snif> Here are the description details:
This is an E series serial number, made in Japan, Squier Stratocaster. I'm not sure if it was made in 1984 or 1985, but I bought it in 1985. So, I'm pretty sure it couldn't have been made in 1986 or 1987. Unless, I had a time machine that I have forgotten about. The guitar has all its original parts, never been beaten up, or had a cracked neck repaired or anything like that. I will include the original whammy handle, too, I just didn't attach it for the photos.
It has a black body with white pickguard. There are a few minor nicks and dings, swirl marks and the like, but nothing major. Everything is in working order, but the 5-way switch crackles a little during switching. It may need to be cleaned or replaced, along with the volume and tone pots, since they are over 25 years old.
Happy bidding!
