1999 USA Lonestar Strat (Midi Custom)

plus a Roland GR-09 Guitar Synthesizer and EV-5 pedal

 1999 American Lonestar Strat...a Roland GK-2 midi pickup was professionally installed shortly after I was given the guitar. I had the original pickguard replaced at that time.  (Never really liked the look of the reddish brown shell pickguard anyway) - you can see the original color on the back of the guitar.  She plays great and sounds even better - Fender got it right with the pickup configuration on this one - versatility all over the place.  I am the original owner (it was a birthday present) and she's been played mainly at church and at a few gigs / conferences...always taken care of properly.  It's in great shape with a little buckle rash on the back and virtually no damage anywhere else.  This guitar just had a professional fret job - there is literally less than an hour of play time on it.

The Roland GR-09 Guitar Synthesizer works great, all the pickguard controls work perfectly with the unit.  The guitar wizard back in California did a great installation job.  The Roland EV-5 progression pedal makes blending tones between the guitar and the synth a breeze.  You can plug into the regular output jack (when not using the synth) or the midi jack and split the signal into 2 separate amps.  It blows people minds when they hear strings, organs, and other special effects coming from a keyboard-less stage.   (NOTE: since the fret job was done (and the action lowered) you may have to tweak the sensitivity settings on the midi pickup a bit - guitar synth response is dependent on how you play and since no two guitar players are the same, you may need to dial it in for your style)

I'm parting with it is because I rarely use the midi capability in the band anymore... no real need with a keyboardist.  That and I've become a different player over the years and its just more than I want to set up and use these days.  Plus as I've added other guitars to my stable, I need to let go of a few (My beautiful wife is awesome, but we all have to make sacrifices...).  Still, this one isn't easy to part with. 

I will include the manuals for the synth, pickup (even the box), and pedal (although everything can be found easily online these days...).  In addition I will include (2) Roland compatible cables (expensive cables!!) to connect the guitar and synth.  One last thing, there is no case in this auction! - I'm keeping it for a Tele I picked up recently.  However, I do have a commercial "double box" guitar package ready to go and I always pack my auction gear well.
