Fender Strat

Up for bids is one of the groovy-est Strats to come out of the Fender Custom Shop in a long time!  The Fender Master Design program started in 2004 to allow the Custom Shop Master Builders and opportunity to build guitars that they would play every day.  In 2006, Greg Fessler got his turn and designed this one-of-a-kind incredible Strat. This Master Design instrument was team built in the Custom Shop and was supervised by Greg Fessler. This example is limited to 100 pieces and comes stuffed with case candy including reproductions of Greg's original notes, a special certificate and a DVD on Greg and the guitar. This is truly a special guitar built with the best materials. The body is alder for classic tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 big American Standard. A unique pickup combination was chosen by Fessler, is very versatile and the heart of the instrument. A custom 69 gray bobbin pickup is at the neck, the middle is a reverse wound Fat 50's and the bridge pickup is a hot Texas Special. A wonderful array of Stratocaster tones!  Includes vintage style tuners and a vintage style tremelo...everything is aged to perfection and super authentic!. The finish is a gorgeous gold sparkle lacquer with the full factory relic treatment including dents and dings and aged hardware. This is an original guitar that is extremely playable and might be one of the finest sounding Strats to come from the Master Design Program.

Full of soulful tone,the 1965 C shaped maple neck feels great. The flat radius and big frets facilitate bending and vibrato and the pickup combo allows for a ton of tones, from fat blues to sparkling clean. Just a wonderful Strat. This guitar has been used sparingly. The relic finish looks fantastic. No fretware. Comes with original Custom Shop Master Design case, trem arm, case candy and accessory pack.
