2005 Fender Eric Johnson Strat

Eric Johnson certainly knows guitars, and the signature model he's put together for Fender is a doosy. It's the world's most iconic guitar in its signature look.

You can't beat the combo of an all maple neck and sunburst body. This guitar screams "1957." Two-tone nitro sunburst finish, single ply pick guard, one piece maple neck, wide 12th fret marker dots, Kluson tuners, raised headstock decal with spaghetti logo, staggered pole pickups, all clothe wiring, and vintage stamped, six screw bridge.

Look a little closer and there some subtle tweaks to this vintage design. The Kluson tuners are staggered so there's no string tree on the headstock. The fingerboard has a 12" radius and medium jumbo frets so you can bend without fear of fret-out. The neck is made from quarter-sawn maple. There's a 5 way selector switch. Fender also selects the best materials out there for their signature models. It is very resonant and really comes alive when you start digging in.
 
Though a few years old now, it is in near mint condition and super clean. The paint has a deep shine. There are no cracks, breaks, repairs or other funny business. The neck is straight and the frets have only the very lightest of wear. There are some scratches on the pick guard and only the faintest of marks on the body. See the photos for one scratch on the back of the body near the trem route. There is one small impression on the round-over on the lower horn but we couldn't capture it in a photo. It is small but worth disclosing. For strap buttons it has Dunlop strap lock posts but not the other half.

Not a whole lot more to say! Fender's are certainly built to last and this one is just starting its journey. It's the world's favorite guitar for a reason, and with its nitro paint job, custom wound pickups and vintage looks this one will put a smile on your face.
