1978/1979 Fender Strat Body. I got
this as part of a complete guitar exactly the way it is , in the mid
1980’s. When I got it, there was an early 80's 3-bolt MIJ Squier SQ Strat neck attached so I
assumed it was a MIJ Fender body but I had it checked it out and from
what I have been told, apparently it is a late 70’s USA Fender body that
had been modified (bridge pickup rout) and professionally refinished before I got it. It is
made of ash (check out the wood grain in the pics!) and very heavy (as opposed to the MIJ Squier
bodies) – with tremolo about 5 pounds! The tremolo on it was there when I
got it and apparently had the saddles replaced as well. I have used it
on and off but I have a very bad back and it is just too heavy for me
any more. I actually had this for sale on Ebay for a while but had it
mislabeled as a MIJ Squier SQ Strat body! Original neck and electronics long
gone. Comes with tremolo (no arm) and RI Fender
3-bolt neckplate. Very usuable the way it is or could be a great find if
you have a late 70’s neck or want to strip it to natural or refin
another color!
Sale is for body, tremolo, jackplate and neck plate ONLY, I included pictures of the body with a pg and neck attached so you could see the body color a bit more clearly.
