Up for auction is an original (not reissue) 1974 vintage Fender Stratocaster neck with original frets, original nut and string trees. Maple fingerboard.
Serial number on the neckplate (not included) is 553XXX.
Neck stamp has only first 4 digits readable: 0903 (09 - Stratocaster, 03 - Fretted Maple Neck).
This Strat neck is in EXCELLENT cosmetic condition (see pics) showing some honest play wear. Neck plays GREAT with medium rounded U profile.
There were different tuners once installed hence extra screw holes on the back of headstock. No breaks, cracks or repairs.
The neck is straight. The original frets are somewhat flat from playing but have no groves or divots. There is still enough life left in the frets.
