I had Fender’s Custom Shop build this beautiful guitar for me back in 2000
The rosewood fingerboard has a striking dark stripe like pattern that runs from
pre-nut to the fret at the highest point of the neck. It is unique and quite beautiful.
The back of the maple neck is a gorgeous figured cut of wood.
The original new protective plastic is still on the pick guard and the tremolo spring cover.
This Strat has the three position pick up switch.
The Olympic white finish on this guitar is possibly described as an off white with a grayish/greenish tint.
Although this Strat was made 11 years ago
It is virtually a new guitar with almost no playing time at all (a few of hours at the most)
There are a few minor finish flaws that were there since it was brand new. There are two very small circular indentations on the back and one on the front. There are a few lines that appear to be the finish outlining the wood grain. These are not surface damages but rather the lacquer sunk into miniscule depressions in the body. There is also a tiny, fine line at the base of the back of the neck near the neck joint.
These flaws are only visible in certain light when you are scrutinizing every detail
(not visible in pics)
I mention them only to describe exactly what you will be receiving so there are no surprises.
Because of the uniqueness of the Rosewood fingerboard pattern I elected to live with these flaws.
This Strat has an excellent sound!
It is stellar through a clean channel and awesome with overdrive.
Its tuning stability is incredible!
I have owned and played a lot of Strats and the sound on this sweet one is far superior to the MIM, MIJ and stock USA guitars by far.
When you open the case it still smells new!
Go for it!
