Fender Strat

1984-1987 Made in Japan Fender Stratocaster.

Formley owned by Tinker Carlin who dates back to being an original Cricket from the band "Buddy Holly"

Guitar comes autographed, and with a picture of him playing it.

Tinker Calin continues to play "Buddy Holly" tunes in Texas and can be found playing out still. He is a wonderful musician and a gift to the music.

This guitar is a crazy piece.

It is a true relic and was built using some interesting parts.

The neck dates 84-87 and show's the wonderful play wear on the maple neck. even has a slight cigarette burn. The body has been painted a few times, and  from the wear through areas looks to have been black at one time and gold at another time. The current paint is greenish, blue, with custom graphics, swirls, and stars on it. Pearloid pickguard. The guitars electronics, are very unusual. It has dual input jacks. You can hook this guitar up to two amplifiers at once. There is 2 toggle switches, 2 tone knobs, and 2 Volume controls. The blue marked toggle switch and volume and tone knob, are hooked up to the neck and middle pickup. The red toggle and volume and tone are hooked up to a hotrails pickup. A very strange pickup set up, but controls some wonderful sound. The blue and red are marked with marker. The tremolo block is chrome plated, and has one 71-79 027037 Saddle on it. Its crude, and unique, and has played a ton of Buddy Holly songs and has true mojo.
