1963 Fender® Stratocaster® in excellent, original condition. Simply one
of the finest Strats we've ever seen from this period, and many consider
1963 to be the best year of all for the Stratocaster®.
The guitar is all original and absolutely gorgeous with a few minor
flaws. The decal has been replaced on the head stock, and the face of
the headstock is oversprayed in the decal area. The neck is otherwise
all original with original finish on all other parts of the neck and
original frets.
The middle pickup has been carefully rewound to original specs, using vintage wire. The volume pot was replaced in 1983.
The guitar is otherwise all original with a beautiful sunburst finish
with just the right amount of wear. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard
is a piece of art, and the original frets, amazingly, have no
perceptible wear. The neck is to die for on this guitar.
The guitar weighs under 7.5 lbs, so it is a perfect, light but balanced
guitar. Neck is straight, the sound is killer, and the guitar comes in
its original white tolex case. The case is in excellent condition with
both latches still popping open with spring tension.
The neck date is Oct 63, the body date is 10/63, and the original Stackpole tone pots date to 40th week of 1963 (304 6340).
Keep the guitar for 48 hours to play and hear
it, if not happy for any reason, return for full refund minus shipping.
