1979 Fender Silver Anniversary Stratocaster. The guitar is "UNPLAYED". I took the guitar on trade in 1989 from a local guitar. He was the original owner. His mom & dad purchased the guitar for upon graduating high school. He traded it on a Custom Jackson guitar. I took the guitar and put it in my collection as many of these aged poorly to hideious colors. I kept this in the case the Entire time i owned it. I worked at a guitar shop from 1981-2010.....I have decided to sell it for no other reason than i'm looking for other things now. I have lots of guitars but theres just to many out there right now i'd rather have. As you can see it still has the tape over the tremelo arm. That was NEVER taken off. As for those wondering why the plastic isnt on the pickguard. As i said i worked at a guitar shop inthe Twin Cities. On a sunday when i wasn't there a guy asked if he could go downstairs where we kept our nice guitars. While down there, he opened the case to strat. He noticed it was like new. However he also noticed the plastic was lifting off in places, so he took the liberty in removing the plastic. Honest to GOD. As many of you know its difficult to completely remove it without taking some of the knobs off. So a few days after he was in, I happen to look at the guitar. Much to my surprise the PLASTIC WAS GONE!!!!!! Anyway thats the truth. Otherwise this would still have it on. You can see in the photos that there are NO marks on the pickguard. It does have the original case. As for the certificate, it used to be in the case. I was told it maybe somewhere but that hasnt been confirmed. I will locate it. I hope to have it before the auction closes. Otherwise i will send it in the mail.
