Well it might say made in Mexico, but this Strat sure sings good 'ol down home American blues! The guitar, from the mid '90's I believe , has had a major league makeover featuring Fralin Real 54 pickups,all Callaham hardware and an electronics upgrade , new knobs, switch tip and tortoise shell pickguard and tremelo spring cover plate. These upgrades alone total over $500.00! The guitar itself is in mint condition overall, with about 6 very minor dings that are not down to the wood along the bottom rim of the body, so slight that my camera couldn't pick them up. Frets are in great shape with virtually no wear. The setup features a low and smooth action. Acoustically, this axe is very vibrant and resonant, not what you would typically expect from a Mexican Strat. Plug it in and you get all those classic clean, airy ,open and bell like tones thanks to the Fralins. Crank it up and you get a Stevie Ray vibe just waitin' to sing the blues! This axe is a real wolf in sheep's clothing with all the upgrades and can be yours without breaking the bank! Comes with a Fender tweed style gig bag and all the original parts.
